From 14 to 18 August 2019, you will discover Brussels City Hall through fresh new eyes. Five days long, Flowertime gives floral artists carte blanche to decorate the rooms of this Unesco monument from wall to floor to ceiling.
Brussels City Hall remains a hidden gem even to many people in Brussels. In addition to taking a look behind the façade of this iconic building, you will enjoy a world-class exhibition curated by the creators of the Brussels Flower Carpet and the world-famous Floraliën.
For this fourth edition of Flowertime, the organisers have invited the fine fleur of international floral art to the heart of Brussels. Working around the theme ‘A World of Floral Emotions’, more than 30 artists from all over the world will let their creativity and emotions run wild in the rooms of the Brussels City Hall.
“Floral artists from thirteen different countries will participate in this year’s event. Renowned, well-established artists, but also young, promising talents. In the magnificent rooms of the City Hall they will engage in a dialogue with each other using a universal language: that of flowers. A must-see for young and old alike!”, enthuses Pieter Toebaert, artistic director of Flowertime.
